Mis Adventure Girls Adventure Group

Extracurricular after school activities/holiday programs

A Youth led cycling group for girls aged 11 to 16 to inspire a love for cycling through adventurous out-of-school activities. Encouraged by trained Youth ‘MisAdventure Champions’ and our cycle instructors, girls will plan and participate in on/off road cycle rides, social action cycle ready projects and help to promote Bikeabilty across schools with low take up for girls particularly from ethnic minorities.

The program will enhance Leadership in young women already blessed with both aptitude and potential to lead their peers through change, who however need further encouragement, training, and the opportunity to make a difference. With an emphasis away from cycling as just a sport, the project will aim to encourage girl only social rides with friends, youth led engagement activities in schools and to support girls to get cycling together in a friendly, inclusive challenge days organised by our ‘Champions’.

The project will push girls out of their comfort zone in challenging environments that they are not used to. The aim is to increase their confidence and resilience and help them to discover on their own that they can ride on the road without fear. We want to support young women to discover the thrill of riding bikes for themselves - whatever their age, fitness or ability. Our mission is to get girls outside, active and learning with the support of youth mentors and a dedicated team of experienced and qualified staff who are all eager to ensure everyone has an amazing experience and learn new skills along the way.
