Christmas Big Feed

In partnership with LGK and Birmingham Children's Trust

On the 20th December 2024, Handsworth Association of Schools in partnership with LGK who sponsor our FareShare foodbank allocation worked together along with Birmingham Children's Trust a host of other partners to offer our member schools and partners a bonus Christmas food gift parcel including dried goods, extra Christmas goodies, toys and gifts.  Schools chose  families they felt would benefit most from this generous offer, and then came and collected their parcels and gifts  to deliver to them.

The Event was hosted at Rookery School Sports and Art Centre and Perry Barr Family Hub and was a really great success. We were able to support over 600 families.  As an addition to that day the food and gifts that were left were then donated to two local churches  and their foodbank ( New Jerusalem and New Life Wesleyan) which further supported over 300 families.
